BRH: Week 2 Session 1

Run 2 minutes. Walk 2 minutes. Repeat 11 times.

Distance: 4 miles
Time: 48:26

I felt great! Can't believe it was that far. My cardio endurance is horrible! Around set 6, running for 2 minutes was getting tough. I started strong for each run, and ended weak and glancing at my watch. I need to work on cardio for my x-training days.

Any advice for building cardio endurance? I do not have a gym membership or any exercise equipment of my own. I won't be getting a membership until the summer because I just don't have time to go. Any DVD suggestions would be great. Also, Wii games will be welcomed too. Oh yea...and I have a bike.

Plans to run again tomorrow or Thursday....probably Thursday.

  1. You are doing great. Consistency WILL build your endurance...just be patient. I have some Jillian Michaels DVDs that I got off of Amazon for cheap. They are good and get your heart pumping.

    You could also do a boot camp circuit. Check out Bobbie's blog at www.bobbiemccormick.com. She has a tab for her bootcamps. Try it, you'll like it :)

  2. I second Lisa on the Jillian DVDs! I did the 30 Day Shred in December and it's killer! I think they're only like $9 at Walmart right now. And you don't need a lot of space for them.

    Also bike riding will help too! Or so I hear...I don't own one myself!

  3. run....a lot! all the time...the more you run the easier it will get. run further each time...run.

    haha, obvious i know, oh yes and always run forward...talk to yourself while running, it helps to control your breathing.
