Rock N' Roll

It's official. I just registered for MY FIRST HALF MARATHON!!!!!

I'm pretty sure I'm nuts. I've missed the boat on Hal's plan to get myself prepped for this thing properly, but I'm going to try to bust my butt to get on track some how.

I need advice here. What the hell have I gotten myself into? (besides debt...damn this race is expensive! If I don't finish, I will be pissed.)

  2. YAY!! How exciting!

#1 - Come up with a training plan.
#2 - Make sure it is a DOABLE plan!!!! You DON'T need to be running 7 days a week to successfully train for a half marathon. Make sure it is something you know you can stick to because if it is too much people tend to just give up and quit. You can successfully train running only 4 days a week if you make those runs count.

  6. Hey! Yeah you still have two months so you will be fine. I just found your blog...and skimmed to see that you're up to four miles...next week go for five. The goal is to get up to ten before race day.

Increase your long run by a mile each week... you even have some extra time in there. I loveeeee Hal. It's not too late to alter his plan to your time table.

  9. Yeah for signing up for your first half. First, you have to believe in yourself. YOU CAN DO IT! Kristen said it best, find a plan and you don't have to run every day or have high weekly mileage.
